PLEASE NOTE: These are the minimum requirements to run Scratch Live with the SL 4. For best performance and for use in professional situations we recommend you buy a higher spec computer. We also recommend Intel processors.

Note 1: If you are using Scratch Live’s more system intensive features such as DJ-FX or multiple virtual decks and are having issues, you may need a higher spec computer for best results, or make sure you have optimized your system: Windows 7 and Vista / Mac OS X.

Note 2: If you are planning on using HID devices on Mac OSX 10.5 (Leopard), then you must use OSX version 10.5.6 or up. HID devices include Rane mixers such as the Rane Sixty-Eight or TTM 57SL and some 3rd party controllers such as the Pioneer CDJ-400, CDJ-900, or CDJ-2000 CD players.

The Second Edition Scratch LIVE colored vinyls are differentfrom the first edition (CV01) in two ways. Firstly, the records aremastered on much better equipment than the original, and donot suffer from any noticeable pitch variation (0.0026% max).

Secondly, the absolute positioning signal (APS) used in these special edition colored vinyls differ from the CV01 enabling the software to distinguish which version of the vinyl is being used, and even which side is playing! The second edition is obvious from the red band on the upperright corner of the sleeve. The label on the vinyl, besides beingmarked CV02, has large A and B markings to easily tell betweenthe 10:00 and 15:00 sides. Scratch LIVE software version 1.2 andhigher is required to use the second edition vinyl.

The controls allow you to mix clips with a variety of transitions, as well as apply exciting effects to each video clip. The mixed output can be sent to your computer’s secondary display for connection to external monitors or projectors.

Designed And Built For The Serious DJ
This compact little brick may look unassuming, but Rane cut no corners in designing the SL3. Housed in a rugged metal chassis, the SL3 can take its fair share of misdirected abuse. While most USB audio peripherals are powered via the USB port, Rane decided to power the SL3 independently, and it ships with its own power supply. This helps extend the life of the unit by feeding it a regulated voltage, and it also keeps the audio quieter. The ultra-low noise floor is aided by the SL3′s galvanic isolation, which shields the audio path from computer-generated interference.
